The AcoustID Import MusicBrainz IDs statement has quite a few available options. You can use the Option Presets button to choose from the following preset combinations.
- Match Tracks to a Single Release
- Use this function when you know that the tracks are in a single release and they may have incorrect or missing Album metadata. Any tracks which do not have the AcoustID data will be assigned the same release IDs as the chosen release, if any.
- ... Matching Album Metadata
- Use this function when you know that the tracks are in a single release and you feel that the name of the Album is correct and consistant for all the tracks. Any tracks which do not have the AcoustID data will be assigned the same release IDs as the chosen release, if any.
- Match Tracks to Possibly Multiple Releases
- Use this function when the selected tracks may be in more than one release and the tracks may have incorrect or missing Album metadata. If a single release containing all the tracks can be found, it will be chosen. Any tracks which do not have the AcoustID data will be ignored.
- ... Multiple Releases Matching Album Metadata
- Use this function when the selected tracks may be in more than one release and you feel that the names of the Albums are correct. If a single release containing all the tracks can be found, it will be chosen. Any tracks which do not have the AcoustID data will be ignored.
- Choose a Release
- Use this function when you know that the tracks are in a single release and they may have incorrect or missing Album metadata. If a release cannot be found which contains all the tracks, a release will be chosen to represent all the tracks. This might be done by using a preferred country code and/or by the release containing the most tracks. Any tracks which do not have the AcoustID data will be ignored.
- ... Matching Album Metadata
- Use this function if the tracks may be in one or more releases and you feel that the names of the Albums are correct. Tracks with the same Album metadata will be treated as individual groups for matching purposes. Tracks missing Album metadata will be ignored. Any tracks which do not have the AcoustID data will be assigned the same release IDs as the equivalent album, if any.
