What's With the Blue Text and Red Labels?

When Yate detects something invalid in a field, the field's text is displayed in blue and the field's associated label will be displayed in red. The most common reasons are:

When the text is blue and the label is red, the field's associated function button will have a Why is the Text Blue and Label Red? item. This item will explain what is invalid and will present the content of the field with invalid characters replaced with a question mark enclosed in a blue diamond character. The View>Validation Errors function will also identify field's which contain invalid characters.

The field's context menu's Yate Transformations>Remove Invalid Characters item can be used to remove the invalid characters.

Note that in order to maximize the display area, the built in Lyrics field does not have an associated label. If this field contains invalid characters, red exclamation mark indicator will be displayed beneath the field's associated function button.
