The Import from Apple App and Export to Apple App functionality allows you to import and export the set of Apple application library metadata which has been selected in Settings-Apple Apps to be displayed in the main window's Linked column and to be processed by importing and exporting. These fields include ratings, play counts, skip when shuffling, start time, stop time and volume adjustment. These fields must be imported or exported as they are not maintained in the audio files by iTunes.
The Compare Apple App Values function will display a window showing the Apple App and Yate values for these fields for all selected and linked files. In addition if a track has an explicit Album Rating, the fact will be displayed in the window. The displayed window supports the importing and exporting of each individual value regardless of the fields specified in Settings-Apple Apps. You change the import or export setting of table entries via the context menu. Note that the Album Rating value can only be exported. When exported, the Album Rating field will be reset.
This context menu may also be used to change the displayed Yate values. Note that changes to Yate's values occur immediately. The Apply button only affects the import/export of values between Apple applications and Yate.
