On MacOS 10.12 and earlier, Yate requires an additional component to assist in the calculation of ReplayGain values for FLAC files. Typically you will be prompted to automatically install these components when Yate is first run. If you are running Yate in an environment which either has no web access or limits the connectivity, you can perform the following steps to manually install the components:
- Using a browser, download the file at https://2manyrobots.com/Updates/Yate/bin6.zip
- In the Finder go to the following folder: ~/Library/Application Support/Yate
- If the Library folder is hidden you can use the Finder's Go menu's Go to folder menu item. Paste in the above folder as the destination folder.
- Copy the bin6.zip file to the above folder.
- If a folder named bin exists, delete it.
- In the Finder window, select the bin6.zip file and from the context menu select Open (or double click).
- A bin6 folder will be created and will contain the required additional components.
- Rename the bin6 folder to bin.
- You can delete the bin6.zip file.
