Open Mode Overrides

By default, Yate preserves the Open Mode when it is closed. That means that when you next open the application it will have the same Open Mode. There are instances when you might want to force a particular Open Mode. There are three different areas for which you can override the Open Mode:

Application Start
When Yate is started directly, (from the Finder or a dock icon), the associated override values will be applied.

External load when Yate is not running
If Yate is launched via the Finder's Open With menu or by dragging items to Yate's dock icon, the associated override values will be applied.

External load when Yate is running
If Yate is already running and files are loaded via the Finder's Open With menu or by dragging items to Yate's dock item, the associated override values will be applied.

For each of the three possible situations you can state that No override is to occur or you can configure the desired Open Mode.

Note that while you can set the Add/Replace option for Playlist Mode, the option will be ignored unless the Settings - File List Allow Playlist Replace Open Mode option is set.
