Settings - Menu Shortcuts

This settings panel allows you to create or change shortcuts assigned to the application's menu items. The Key Bindings section describes keys that can have a shortcut assigned. Currently only the Done key utilized in advanced editor panels and the action editor can have a shortcut assigned.

Note that while this display has focus, all keystrokes are captured. You must close the Settings window or select a different Settings window panel in order to return to normal keyboard functionality. You can collapse or expand menus by clicking on the triangle disclosure buttons. You can collapse or expand the entire table by clicking on the disclosure buttons immediately under the left corner of the table.

To change a shortcut, select a menu item and enter the desired key combination.

To remove the key combination currently associated with a menu entry, select a menu item in the table and press the Delete key.

Note that the proper detection of the validity of certain key combinations is sometimes out of our control. The system and other applications may be grabbing key combinations outside of the application's ability to detect. If you specify a key combination which does not work, or does not work in certain circumstances, simply try a different combination.

Note that any menus following Help are a means to assign keyboard shortcuts to items in specific context menus in the application. This functionality is only available on macOS 10.13 or later.
