This function is used to update an album or track database with the values contained in the current files. When running stepwise, the current files are typically all selected files. However, files may have been removed from this list via the Ignore Files statement. When running grouped, the current files are a single track.
If a path is empty at runtime the function will be applied to all open databases.
The path may contain any of the escape sequences described in Escape Sequences. At runtime, the path to a database must be absolute (/) or relative to the home folder (~/).
When an Album Database is updated all tracks which are in any album referenced by any files in the current files are used. Existing database items are updated and new items are added.
If a specified database is not open this function will be ignored.
You can optionally save the database after updating via the Save after updating option.
This statement ignores the lock status of a database.
