This menu allows you to attempt to import MusicBrainz IDs in a variety of ways. If necessary, the tracks will be fingerprinted and data will be downloaded from AcoustID.
The function presets are the same as those in the AcoustID Import MusicBrainz IDs statement and are documented here.
The following three persistent options can be used to control when a function will run and when metadata will be imported:
- Always Import Metadata
- When not enabled, Album, Artist, Title and Year metadata will only be imported if the associated fields are empty. When Enabled, the fields will always be imported.
- Always Run
- When disabled, the function will only be executed if at least one selected track is missing a MusicBrainz Release Id. When enabled, the function will always be run.
- Look for Discogs Release Id
- When enabled, an attempt will be made to locate a Discogs Release Id from MusicBrainz.
