The Action Updater and the Resource Actions Installer are the same process and display the same UI. The only difference is that the Resource Actions Installer always displays the full list of currently available actions on Yate's web resources page. The Action Updater only displays those actions already installed which have updates or a specific targeted list of actions.
The term action is used loosely as it always implies a download available on the resources page. Many times a single download includes multiple actions.
Note an installed action is deemed updatable based on an action's version number or missing dependencies. If you change the contents of an installed action, the updater will not know that the action has been modified.
Actions are displayed in the table in descending order of the date they were published. The following columns are displayed:
While you can manually select which items, if any, you want to install, you can also use the table's context menu to perform various multiple item selections. The context menu has the following items:
You can use the search bar at the top of the panel to do a case insensitive search for text in the Name column.
You can choose to update the entire list or only those actions which are checked in the Install column.
When actions are installed by this process, only the actions are updated. Any other components associated with the actions are only installed if they are missing. This means that any customization you performed will not be lost. Custom field definitions are always validated and confirmed if they differ.
The updating process can be cancelled via the Cancel toolbar button or via File>Cancel.
