The Credits Edit Panel

This display presents information crediting the people who had various functions relating to the audio track.

As these fields are not as common as many others, a brief description of the fields and their editing requirements follows. This text is largely taken from the ID3 specifications:

Original Artist
The 'Original artist/performer' frame is intended for the performer of the original recording, if for example the music in the file should be a cover of a previously released song.

Composer
The 'Composer' frame is intended for the name of the composer.

Conductor
The 'Conductor' frame is used for the name of the conductor.

Remixer
The 'Interpreted, remixed, or otherwise modified by' frame contains more information about the people behind a remix and similar interpretations of another existing piece.

Lyricist
The 'Lyricist/Text writer' frame is intended for the writer of the text or lyrics in the recording.

Original Lyricist
The 'Original lyricist/text writer' frame is intended for the text writer of the original recording, if for example the music in the file should be a cover of a previously released song.

Involved People
The 'Involved People' field maps between roles and names. The field consists of multiple lines specified as: role=name{,name}.... When the data is saved to files, empty lines and unnecessary whitespace is automatically removed.

When the Settings - Audio - MPEG-4 Process iTunMOVI for files with video option is enabled, the roles which will be correctly mapped for iTunes and TV display are Director, Codirector, Producer and Screenwriter. Other roles will be retained but will not be recognized by iTunes and TV.

Musician Credits
The 'Musician credits list' is intended as a mapping between instruments and the musician that played it. The field consists of multiple lines specified as: instrument=musician{,musician}.... When the data is saved to files, empty lines and unnecessary whitespace is automatically removed.

When the Settings - Audio - MPEG-4 Process iTunMOVI for files with video option is enabled, the instruments which will be correctly mapped for iTunes and TV display are Actor and Cast. Cast is a synonym and will be displayed the next time the file is loaded as Actor. Other instruments will be retained but will not be recognized by iTunes or TV.
