Combined Credits Editor Settings

The Combined Credits Editor (CCE) supports the handling of simple credit fields. This includes Artist, Album Artist, Original Artist, Composer, Conductor, Remixer, Lyricist and Original Lyricist. Further, Custom fields may be marked as being credits when they are defined in Settings - General - Custom Fields. The processing of the simple credit fields must be enabled via the Enable simple field processing setting.

You can elect to have the CCE merge or not merge names with the same credit to a single item when updating the Musician Credits and Involved People fields. This is achieved by setting the Merge names when saving option. Note that Credits and People are always sorted when saving from the CCE.

Unlike the Involved People and Musician Credits fields, the simple fields do not have a rigid format specification. While values may be separated by the multi-value delimiter, often commas or other character sequences are used as delimiters. Further, qualifying words such as "featuring" may also be used as delimiters.

When processing simple fields which are associated with application lists, Yate can interpret alternate delimiters. When saving values it can also use alternate delimiters when reconstructing the simple fields. These alternate delimiters and list interpretations are configured via the Advanced List Settings button. These settings are common to the CCE and other functionality which interfaces to application lists.
