With the exception of the Notepad, View menu items display content in a common Log Viewer window. The following items are currently supported:
- Notepad
- The Notepad is discussed here.
- Get Info
- When the main window file list has focus, this menu item displays a popup panel describing the audio properties of a selected file. The file list's Audio Information context menu item performs the same function.
When the File Browser has focus, this menu item displays information on the selected file. The File Browser's Get Info context menu item performs the same function.
To dismiss the panel click off of it or use the Escape key. Note that this only works when a single item is selected.
- Metadata as Text
- Displays all of the current tag information, for each file currently selected.
- Raw Data
- Displays what is known about the raw structure of each selected file. Note that stem and chapter metadata will be displayed when available.
- Metadata as Text and Raw Data
- Displays both the text and raw data of all selected files.
- Changes to the Initial State
- Itemizes everything that has changed in all of the selected files, since the files were opened or last saved.
- Changes to the Editing State
- Itemizes everything that has changed in all of the selected files, since their Editing State was last set.
- Validation Errors
- For all selected files, this item will show various places where the current contents of the tag information do not live up to the strict requirements of the specifications. In many cases Yate does not impose the letter of the law as far as the specifications go while editing. This is especially true in places where the ID3 specification states that fields which allow multiple items must be unique in one or more respect.
- Stem Metadata
- The Stem metadata, if any, associated with all selected files will be displayed
- BEXT Metadata
- The BEXT metadata, if any, associated with all selected files will be displayed
- Credits Invalid for Roon
- The Combined Credits Editor is the best means of manipulating credits. This item is a quick means of identifying all credits in the Involved People and Musician Credits fields which are invalid for Roon.
- Last Batch Processor Log
- Displays the last batch processor log file written by the Batch Processor Wizard or the Batch Extract Persistent IDs process.
- Last Batch Processor Trace
- displays the last batch processor trace file written by the Batch Processor Wizard
