Multi Field Editor Bundle 1

Yate v6.12 introduced support for extending the functionality of the Multi Field Editor via actions. This bundle contains seven such actions. They all work with specific fields and can be accessed via the Multi Field Editor or an appropriate main window function button. Help for each action can be found in the action's description. The description can be viewed in the Action Manager or the Multi Field Editor. The following is a brief summary of the actions:

It is unlikely that you want to use all of these samples. If you want to hide any of these actions from the Multi Field Editor's action list, change the association column in the Action Manager from M (Multi Field Editor) to (None).

Decompose a Field Using a File to Tag Template

Yate's file to tag functionality allows you to decompose a filename into metadata targeted to various fields. Note than only a single field can be specified as the source field.

Fill Lists

This action fills the preference lists with data extracted from the selected fields. The action uses a Fill Lists action statement to provide the functionality. Note that while all credit fields can be specified, only those mapped to preference lists will be modified at runtime.

Insert Roman Numeral after a Pattern

This action looks for a user specified pattern in one or more fields. If the pattern is located the following occurs:

Merge Genre into Selected Fields

Merge all Genre items into the selected fields. The delimiter can be the multi value delimiter or any sequence you specify.

Standardize on Lists

The action standardizes the items in the selected fields based on their list association. The action uses a Standardize on List Items action statement to provide the functionality.
