Set Finder Tags

These actions are used to set Finder track and folder tags. File tags are set based on an album being loved or having a rating of five stars. Folder tags are set based on contained tracks being loved or patially loved as just defined. A separate action is supplied to set Finder track tags interactively.

The following actions are included:

Set Finder Tags

This action is used to set the Finder track tags of selected files. It is the only action in the set which is not based on tracks being loved or on their ratings.

Set Finder Tags Config

The action prompts the users for the tags to use. The action is automatically run by the others, however it can be run independently if desired. When not directly started, the action is only run when configuration information is required or the Option key is pressed. You will be asked to choose three tags: One for loved tracks, one for loved albums and one for partially loved albums.

Set Finder File Tags for Loved Tracks - Overwrite

The action sets a tag if the track is loved or clears the tag if it is not. All other tags are lost. Only selected files are processed.

Set Finder File Tags for Loved Tracks - Preserve

Same as the Overwrite variant except that all tags other than the loved track tag will be preserved.

Set Finder Folder Tags for Loved Tracks - Overwrite

This action sets a folder tag based on the loved state of its contained tracks. All loaded files in any of the folders containing a selected track will be processed ... even if not selected. The Folder tag for loved or mixed will be set or both of the tags will be removed if not appropriate. All other Finder tags will be removed.

Set Finder Folder Tags for Loved Tracks - Preserve

Same as the Overwrite variant except that all tags other than the loved and mixed folder tags will be preserved.

Set Finder File & Folder Tags - Overwrite

Set Finder File Tags for Loved Tracks - Overwrite and Set Finder Folder Tags for Loved Tracks - Overwrite are called.

Set Finder File & Folder Tags - Preserve

Set Finder File Tags for Loved Tracks - Preserve and Set Finder Folder Tags for Loved Tracks - Preserve are called.
