MusicBrainz Wizard Artwork

The artwork window displays the artwork for the release. Note that based on your settings, it is possible that not all available artwork will have been loaded. The top of the window has a load information status bar which describes the state of available and loaded artwork. Accessing Discogs artwork, (which the MusicBrainz Wizard can do), is a rate limited process. Yate can only request up to twenty images per minute. In order to better the user experience, the images are not requested one every five seconds. Rather, Yate will download as many images as is permitted as fast as possible. You should be aware that if the first twenty images come down in ten seconds, you may have to wait up to fifty seconds before additional Discogs images can be downloaded.

At the left of the window an image strip which displays all currently loaded artwork. The checkbox before each image controls the import of the associated image. By default, only the first loaded image is checked for import. You can specify that all images should be initially checked, via the Import all artwork option in Settings-MusicBrainz. If an image is preceded by a star (★) character, the image is a Cover (front) image. A D tag next to an image implies it was downloaded from Discogs. A C tag next to an image implies it was downloaded from the Cover Art Archive.

Images can be dragged out of the large image display to any application which can receive dragged image data. You can drag to the Yate main window.

Images can be dragged out of the large image display directly to a Finder folder. The file will be named as follows:

Right clicking on the image will present a context menu with a selection enabling the saving of the image by a standard file save dialog.

If all of the files selected in the main window are in the same folder, the context menu will have an item named Save all artwork. This item will save all of the available artwork to the associated folder. Each file will be named MusicBrainz Artwork id, where id is the MusicBrainz identifier for the artwork item.

The context menu will also display a Save all artwork to folder... item, which will allow you to choose a destination folder where all of the artwork items should be saved.

The context menu will also display a Show in Artwork Viewer item, which will display the image in Yate's Artwork Viewer.

If there are artwork related functions which can be performed, there will be a disclosure button to the immediate right of the image strip at the bottom of the window. When clicking on the disclosure button, the displayed menu may contain the following functions:

Show Discogs Artwork at Discogs
If Discogs artwork is available, selecting this function will take you to the Discogs site where the artwork available for the release will be displayed. Images from the web site may be dragged into Yate's artwork panel or main file list.
Load Unloaded Cover Art Archive Artwork
If not all Cover Art Archive artwork has been loaded due to your settings, selecting this item will start loading the artwork. If Cover Art Archive artwork is currently being loaded, this item will display so.
Load Unloaded Discogs Artwork
If not all Discogs Artwork has been loaded due to your settings, selecting this item will start loading the artwork. If Discogs artwork is currently being loaded, this item will display so.

When you are done click on the Back to Release button.
