This step of the wizard displays the details for a single release.
Note that if all the files in the current selection already have a common MusicBrainz id, the wizard will open immediately to this panel. If you want to look for a different release, you can click on the New Search button.
The table at the top of the window presents the type of data which can be imported from the release. The importing of each item type may be enabled or disabled by checking or clearing the Import column. Setting the Import value to - implies that the field should only be imported if the associated value in a file is not empty. ie. current non empty values will not be overwritten. The value associated with some items can be edited inline. Yate will retain an item type's enable/disable state until you change it again. Additional information as to how the import column is preset can be found in Discogs & MusicBrainz Import Settings.
Further import granularity is available on a per file basis by means of The MusicBrainz Exclusion Window which is activated via the Actions menu.
The top table's context menu has items to select and deselect import items. It also has a Saved Import Settings menu. This menu allows you to manage saved import settings and also displays the current list of saved import settings so that they can quickly be loaded.
In order to handle a variety of low level mappings, some of the Classical metadata items map to custom fields. If the custom fields are not defined, the metadata cannot be imported. The metadata items which require custom fields have an * after their name. A Custom Panel template is available which displays all of the classical fields which can be imported. The panel contains custom field definitions as well. The panel is described in more detail and may be downloaded from here. Alternately, the required custom fields can be created via the Yate>Setup>Create Missing MusicBrainz Classical Fields menu item.
The import of classical metadata is effected by the Settings - MusicBrainz - General option named Percentage of tracks which must be classical for identification. When determining if a release has classical metadata, a test is performed to attempt to recognize false positives. Prior to Yate v8.0 at least 50% of the tracks in a release had to have located classical metadata. If the 50% threshold was not met, a false positive was assumed and the classical metadata was discarded. You can use the setting to choose a different percentage. Unlimited implies that all classical metadata is available for import regardless as to what percentage of the tracks have located classical metadata. 100% implies that all tracks must have located classical metadata in order to be retained. The proper identification of classical metadata is irrelevant if no classical metadata has been marked for import. Remember that different import sets can be created and even retained in the audio files (via the Import Settings item) in the table.
