
The Video edit panel displays iTunes/TV oriented video information which may be available in MPEG-4 files (particularly m4v). The video only fields are typically hidden when there is no video track in a file. If for any reason you want to set any of the video fields, even when there is no video track, you can enable the Settings-Audio-MPEG-4-Always display video fields setting.
- Title
- The same Title field as found on the Info panel. When associated with a video file, this field is the title of the movie or the name of the episode.
- Episode
- The episode number, if appropriate.
- Show Name
- The name of the show or series, if appropriate.
- Season
- The season number, if appropriate.
- Network Name
- The name of the network.
- Video Definition
- Note that while iTunes/TV will set this value it may not read it. When setting the values in an action use the following: SD or 0, HD 720 or 1, HD 1080 or 2, 4K or 3, or empty. When reading the value of the field in an action, the numeric or symbolic names can be returned.
- Classification
- The movie or TV show classification. The field's associated function button has a submenu to pick Classification Presets. The field's encoding is described in Video Classification Encoding.
- Episode ID
- The symbolic episode number often written as S##E##. The field's associated function button has a submenu item to Synthesize the value from the Season and Episode fields.
- Description
- The short often truncated description of a video.
- Video Description
- The description of the movie or the episode.
- Show Description
- The description of the show, if appropriate. The Show Description (or season description), can sometimes be found in TV shows purchased from the Apple.
