Discogs

Discogs is an extensive user-built database containing information on artists, labels and their recordings. Discogs is an excellent resource to find missing tag information for your music.

Yate allows you to search the Discogs database for desired releases via a wizard. The wizard is launched via the Actions>Discogs wizard... menu or context menu items. Use the wizard to:

If you have previously located an album via Discogs and imported the Discogs release id, you can skip the search and release list steps. Simply start the wizard from the context menu with at least one of the album's tracks selected. When started in this manner, retained import settings will be used. If you want to ignore the retained settings and use the last used values, hold down the Shift key when starting the wizard.

The db column in the main window will display D if a file has a stored reference to a Discogs release.
