Hello,

I wanted to clean up my tags.
Is it possible to clear all tags from a batch of files which are not mapped to a field in Yate. I can see the tags in the all tags window.
I could load all my music files in Yate and the delete the fields manually, but I hope for a more automated way.

If I take you completely literally, this is easy to do and in fact can be done in the Multi Field Editor via a Clear function or by a single line action with a clear statement. It's a little more powerful via an action as you can also remove all redundant comments (all except the first), etc. I'll send you an action to test in a while.

After installing you will have an action named Remove All Unmapped Tags.

It removes all tags not mapped to a field and all multiple occurrences of Comments, Ratings, etc. It does not remove artwork items if there are more than one, but this can easily be added. If you want to remove multiple artwork items, simply edit the action and check Artwork on statement 4.

Please be careful! There are lots of common use tags which are not by default mapped. Items such as replay gain tags. If you can think of anything you want to keep which is not mapped, create custom fields for the items.

The action does not save the files so you can test it out and revert the changes if desired.
