I feel like I should be able to do this with a rename template, but I can't get the components to work.

Basically, as the title says, I've modified the album titles within Yate in a way that I can't in the finder (essentially adding a comma after the cat. no. & putting the dates in brackets, but there were a few misc. niggles along the way).

So now I'd like to use the revised Album field as the names of the folders in the finder.

Can I do this with a rename template?

Create a template which only renames the folder from the Album field.

Ah! Perfect. I think I already have one of those but the "ingredients" didn't look like they herein the right order, so I didn't want to risk it. Thanks! 🙂

If the Album name contains a colon, would that automatically be changed to a hyphen, as per my general preferences, or does that need to be included in the template?

Rename templates always change colons (:) and forward slashes (/) to whatever you have in Preferences-Rename-Settings-Invalid character substitution

Turns out I had the terms the wrong way around, so "d'oh!"
