Normal topicNewly pinned pages seem to be invisible.

Might be on the wrong end of this but I went to follow a pinned folder link & it wasn't there so I went to pin it & the option was to unpin.

So I unpinned it & re-pinned it, but it didn't appear in the list.

So I went to pin it again & once again the option was to unpin.

The attached screenshots might be slightly confusing. They are of DW2 & DW3. In both cases, you can see that the selected folder does not appear in the list, but there is an option to unpin.

Possibly pilot error?

You're pinning and unpinning the displayed, not the selected, folder.

I've changed the names of the DW folders several times recently. Each time, I've found they're missing from the list & have assumed that it's because the file names no longer exist & that Yate does not keep track of changing folder names, which would be cool but it seems perfectly reasonable that it doesn't.

I've never had a "ghost pin" before.

Yep, Yate does not keep track of changes to folder names. This would require a persistence even when Yate was not running.

All Yate does is remove the folders that no longer exist.

If you're renaming the folder via an action you could always pin the new folder in the action.

Sorry, I think you misunderstand me.

As you can see from the screenshots, Yate thinks the newly named folder is pinned & offers me the option to unpin.

Except it's not there in the list. I have pinned & unpinned the newly named folders twice but they don't appear in the list, despite Yate seemingly thinking they're there & giving me the option to unpin.

Probably me being an ass.

Are you trying to pin/unpin the folder currently displayed in the File Browser ... or the folder you have selected in the File Browser?

I'm trying to pin the folder selected in the file browser, but it's only giving me the option to unpin.

When I unpin & go to pin it again, I get the option to pin, so I pin it, but when I go back, it's not showing in the list & the option is to unpin again.

That's not the way it works. The functionality only works on the folder currently displayed in the File Browser. It completely ignores whatever you may have selected. That's why the Pin and Unpin message is: Pin/Unpin Current Folder and not Pin/Unpin Selected Folder.

Ah! yes!

I've always found it weird that I have to be inside a folder & clicking on something unrelated to pin the holding folder.

But yes, pilot error (& wine).

Thank you once again.

Actually if the File Browser has empty space at the bottom, you can click there. All that's required is a right click. The selection technically is not required.

I can look into adding Pin and Unpin Selected. On the list.
