Hi! When editing tags, is there an option to not update the Timestamp of the files? For example, if I edit an album that already exists in my library, can I not have the Timestamp updated? This would prevent simple tag edits from causing the album to show up in the New Music category of my music manager. Hope that this is clear. Thanks.

Yep. It's in Settings-Audio-Common.

OK, thank you, I missed that. Question: will this have any impact on backup programs, i.e., will the edited files be ignored since the modification time wasn't changed?

Absolutely. If the backup program only uses modification date a change will not be noticed. Many backup programs use multiple triggers such as file size as well as modification date. Personally I always recommend not using the option. Many programs use modification date. Yate uses it before saving a file to determine if it was externally changed.

Tortuga-Bob - what are you using as your music manager? I keep oscilating between Roon and Sonos and both are imperfect so curious what other folks use. thanks!

Sorry for the delay. There was a delivery fault. Mostly I use Sonos ... and to say that they're imperfect would be an understatement since the app was updated 🙁
