Yate has an odd behavior that when you open any file using a right-click in Finder and selecting Open With > Yate, it automatically opens all music files in that folder.

This generally isn't an issue, but I often need to select specific files for tag editing. For example, when I rip a CD that has two albums on one disc. I go to the ripping folder, select the tracks for the first album and right-click > Open With > Yate. Then Yate automatically opens ALL the files in that folder rather than the specific files I just selected to open. Then I have to go and pick and choose again.

Is there any way to disable that behavior?

Yate has an Open Mode available from the File menu, the context menu or a toolbar item. You are seeing the behaviour for Album Mode. When in Playlist Mode, what you open is what you get. 🙂
