Normal topicPreference Request - More flex in Artwork Scaling

Would it be possible to add an preference to automatically scale imported Artwork to a custom size? I love this scaling feature, but prefer artwork much larger than 1200 x 1200. Alternatively, perhaps an Action could scale all artwork to a custom-specified size (and, optionally, convert to jpg)?

Ok I'll look into this for v2.6.

BTW it's a little more of a pain but you can do it now. On the artwork panel right click on an image and select Save to File. You can set the image format and size. If you select 'Keep a copy', you'll have a copy of the modified image in the selected tracks as well as on disc.

I'll let you know what I end up implementing.

Hi, I've basically gone down both routes.

The preference 'scaling' drop down has been replaced with a field where you enter the threshold value. 0 implies no scaling.

Every action function which had an artwork size selector now has the a text field where you specify the value.

There's a new action function called 'Scale Artwork / Change Type' which scales and/or changes the image format to jpg or png. The function operates on the first, all but the first, or all artwork items.

This is implemented in the upcoming v2.6.
