Normal topicEdit File Name?

Renaming file names is dead easy with the Rename feature, but sometimes special characters don't display correctly. For example, if the Title has a colon (:), OSX turns it into a dash (-), but without a space before the dash.

Example: track Title "ABC: XYZ" shows in OSX as "ABC- XYZ", when I'd prefer "ABC - XYZ".

It would be easier if I could click on the File Name field, edit as necessary, then move on. As it stands I have to open the file in Finder, edit there, and then go back into Yate (although, to your credit, Yate updates itself on the fly, which is quite nice.)

Just a tiny little suggestion.

Thanks!

Yate always replaces ':' and '/' in filenames. ':' because the OS doesn't like it and '/' because it messes up all of the standard path manipulation APIs.

You can change the replacement string in Preferences-General-Invalid Character Substitution.

Dead simple. Wish I'd seen it earlier! 🙂
