If you think you are having problems viewing the latest help......

Apple strongly caches the help files associated with applications. As the help for Yate is updated fairly regularly, it is possible that you will download a new build and have older help displayed. Unfortunately, there is no current method to work around this issue from within Yate.

You can usually figure out that you are viewing older help if new functionality has been added and there is no help for it. Also, newly added context sensitive help may appear as an unresolved help page. Typically this only arises for newly added help links from within the application.

To fix the issue you can perform the following steps while Yate is not running:

1. In Activity Monitor, stop (quit) the helpd process, if it is running.
2. If you can't see the Library folder in your home directory, you can open a Finder window to the Library folder by holding down the Option key and clicking on the Finder>Go menu item.
3. drag ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.helpd/Cache.db to the Trash.
4. drag ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.helpd/Generated/com.2ManyRobots.Yate.help to the trash.
5. drag ~Library/Caches/com.apple.helpviewer to the Trash.
6. Empty the Trash.

The next time you run Yate and view help, HelpViewer will reindex the help pages. It may take a couple of seconds before new help topics become available. Until this happens you may still get 'help not found' messages.

Sorry about this but as was said, there is no 'nice' solution available. Bug reports have been filed and I'm sure the issue will be fixed eventually.
