is it possible to write an action script that will copy text info from a field in Yate and copy it to the tag of a file on the finder level?
know what I mean?

Sorry there is no Finder level tag support in Yate currently. If the Finder tag support is available in AppleScript you could always call an AppleScript (or any other script). I'll look into it when I get a chance.

Tagging time is an ID3 field used to represent the time the tagging occurred 🙂 Think of it as an internal file modification time which works cross platform. Yate now lets you get a file's mod time but that was not always the case

It looks like reading/writing the Finder tags should be doable on OS X 10.9 and greater. Once v3.4 gets out the door I'll have a look. That typically means I'll implement it. 🙂

Update: New function Finder Tags in v3.4. On OS X 10.9 and greater you can read/write multiple tags to files.
