Hi again,

So I was thinking it would be cool to pull some data down from AcousticBrainz and found that the function is really limited - it can only get BPM and initial key as far as I can tell. There are a lot of things there that I would like to look at (and save in the TXXX tag) such as:

average_loudnness
spectral_rms
spectral_strongpeak
dissonance
beats_position
danceability
tuning_frequency
chord_changes_rate
chord_number_rate
chords_scale

I would then like to be able to make a custom panel to show this cool data 😉

There is low level and high level data on AcousticBrainz. Evidently the high level data is not all that stable. I can look into adding importing more in the future. I could simply add an option to add everything as a delimited list. The new batch of functions introduced in v3.4 could let you extract what you want from the raw date. That would also let you map a single multi-line field to view that data.

The list ... theirs and my futures list is very large -:) Sigh!

Sorry about being one to toss a lot of ideas out here at you all at once. I'm really liking how flexible Yate is and it makes me want even more. I can't help it. There is a glut of uncustomizable inflexible software out there for the mac and I'm thrilled at all that I can do with Yate. 🙂
