Hi, I just downloaded Yate to test it out before purchasing and I seem to be running into trouble when saving the files that I've linked from iTunes. For many files, I get this error (see screenshot) that says that Yate "Cannot query file info." I thought it may be a permissions issue difference between the files that I've downloaded elsewhere from the Internet an those downloaded from iTunes permissions are identical between the two files--one of which caused an error and one that didn't.

Could you please help me with this?

Has anyone seen the same error? Mods?

You must have the iTunes 'Keep iTunes Media folder organized' option set. Depending on what tagging information gets changed, or if the file or containing folder is renamed, it is possible that iTunes will move the file out from under us. This is the only scenario in which I can cause the error to happen.

If this is the case, please turn off the iTunes option for now. I think I have a fix but it'll take a day to validate.

Update: The patch is ready and should be released tomorrow after it goes through a brief test cycle.

v2.1.2.1 has just been released and fixes this problem. Please note that when you received the above error the files had been saved correctly. The error was issued post saving because the file could no longer be located.

If you're going to do a lot of tagging it's my opinion that the 'Keep iTunes Media folder organized' option should be off ... unless you don't care how the files or their containing folders are named.
