Normal topicHelp with super simple rename question

I need to replace the 'Album' field, for multiple files, with the name of the enclosing folder. I have absolutely no idea how to begin. Is there a dummies guide to get started with this?

I would also want to have it work across multiple folders.

There are two easy ways to do this:

In Preferences-File to Tag define a template which contains the following two tokens:

❨Folder Start❩❨Album❩

Load whatever tracks you'd like in the UI and do an:

Edit>File to Tag>your template name

If you want to do it via an action, create a one-line action as follows:

File to Tag (your template name)

Both methods will copy a track's containing folder's name to the Album field. Note that neither method will save the files. You have to do a File>Save to commit the changes.
