Would be great to be able to set Yate to automatically link tracks to iTunes when opening files. (specifically, when not dragging from an iTunes window).

When experimenting with the "look for missing tracks" feature, I noticed it will add a track to Yate but not link it to iTunes unless I manually do so.
Since all the tracks I am editing with Yate are already linked, opening another track in Yate adds the extra inconvenience of having to go back to the main window, highlighting the track, and linking it, then selecting all the tracks and continuing with the MusicBrainz matching process.

That would be a good solution, however, this feature request may have come from an inconsistency I have found related to opening tracks from iTunes.

Often dragging files from iTunes to Yate will not automatically link the tracks.
Would this be something to do with using the iTunes search box to find the files rather than browsing the complete library?

I am an itunes-centric Yate user.
The fear of Repetitive strain injury from clicking the "link to itunes" button looms 😉

I think I have a solution. I'll add new parameters to the Open mode which is easily accessible everywhere (menu, context menu, toolbar). Far easier to get at than from Preferences. There'll be new option to enable or disable Auto-Linking. I can probably get to this shortly after v2.2 is released.
