Normal topicReplacing audio files in iTunes with higher quality versions

I've found some ways to do this manually through some searching online, but I thought the Yate community could provide a potentially better option.

I've got music in my library in mp3 format, but now have higher quality ALAC files that I'd like to replace them with. I'd also like to retain the iTunes specific information (star rating, play count, date added, etc.). Does anyone know a good way to replace the files? Is there a way to do it with Yate somehow?

Yate can get you the rating, play count, date added, date modified, skip when shuffling, etc. You could always write an action to get all the information from the current files and apply it to the new files after. However, the date metadata is read only and cannot be set. 🙁
