I made a mistake and converted some flac files to aiff using dBpoweramp, if I reconvert to flac or any other format Apple Lossless, Apple AAC Quality (VBR), will I damage the files and have loss of quality. And do I need to retag? Thanks

There should not be any loss of quality when converting between lossless formats. AIFF <--> FLAC <--> ALAC <-->WAV should all be fine.

You do not have to retag. The Actions menu's Copy Metadata items can copy all or selected metadata between the files. Basically load both copies. One on top and one on the bottom. Copy up or down 🙂
