Normal topicEdit Panel has vanished

I have been using Yate for several years without any problems. My operating system is Mojave.

The last time I opened Yate, the Edit Panel was gone. I presume I inadvertently hid it. I Have looked through all of the menu items and Preferences, and can't find a way to unhide it.

Can anyone provide me some insight on this.

Thanks

When you say gone, do you mean the fields are not showing or the panel itself is missing? There is no way to hide or show the Edit Panel. If it is missing something got messed up in the fields the system saves the last layout of the window components. If this is the case you can try the following:

- export all your preferences via Yate>Export Preferences
- Do a Factory Reset by holding down the Option key while selecting Yate>Reset Preferences (Factory Reset). Yate will close after the reset.
- Start Yate
- Do a Yate>Import Preferences to get everything back.

If the panel is there but the fields are missing ... and you're using FLAC files, then somehow you've lost your FLAC mappings. You can either import them from a prior backup or you can do a Yate>Reset Built in Items>Reset FLAC/Ogg Mappings.

The above steps should fix either of the scenarios.

...or did you mean a particular Edit Panel such as Info, Artwork, etc. These panels are displayed by right clicking on on preset button (Info, Artwork, etc) and selecting the desired panel. Note that some panels may be on the Others submenu.

The entire panel was missing. I performed the factory reset and it worked!

Thanks for your help.

Wow...I guess there's a first time for everything. I'm glad the fix worked.
