I've recently started using iTunes Music again, and would like to explore generating playlists programmatically using Yate. For this, it would be handy to be able to at the very least create playlists under a preexisting folder. Is there any chance this might be supported in a future version of Yate?

Currently generated playlists all go in the root of the playlist tree. I'd have to look into it in more detail.

Quite a bit would have to change. For example the currently 'flat' playlist enumeration. Playlists can currently be created from the main window and database viewers. etc.

I'll add it to my list to look at.

After an entire day fighting Music on Catalina I think I have good news.

Supporting playlist folders is doable without too much effort.
