Is it possible to sort columns as you would do in a spreadsheet...

So basically, sort by TITLE and then by ARTIST?

Tables in MacOS don't work like that. The sorts are progressively applied. Oddly enough, doing it backwards should give you what you want. Each successive column sort pushes to the top of the stack.

I can consider adding saved sorts which would allow you to select and save a particular sort order without clicking on a column header.

That would be great. I am slowly going through a 36k track collection looking for mistakes/dupes and it is time-consuming at best. It doesn't help that some of the artist metadata comes in from the record companies wrong so I may get artist data that looks like this (different remixes of the same track)...

Yate will sometimes list these tracks but whilst the song title will be sorted correctly, the artist column is not sorted so I may not spot the errors.

A great example is right here...same track name but the artists are not sorted.

Yate v6.5.0.1 was released today. If you right click on any main window column header you will see the Sort menu. There is a new Title - Artist Sort item.

Hi, I've tried it, doesn't seem to do anything :(. I still have tracks that are sorted but the artist column isn't sorted.

In the attached screenshot the top is sorted by Title-Artist (which I implemented). The bottom is sorted by Artist-Title (which I did not).

If it's the bottom you want then it's sort by Artist then Title that you want. ie. the Artist has a higher sort priority than the Title.
