Hi,

Very new user. So far I've gone through and tagged a bunch of .dsf files running Yate under OSX 10.9. The changes all seem to take and travel with the .dsf tracks into iTunes when loaded with Audirvana Plus, also artwork, all EXCEPT the information I've entered into the Comments window in Yate's Info window (right-hand data entry pane.

When I Control-click in iTunes and select Get Info, on a track that I've tagged in Yate, all the information I've edited and the artwork is there, except the iTunes Get Info Comments window is empty.

Not sure what I've neglected to do -- some kind of Yate Preferences selection I haven't set right? I'm pretty much using the program as is with the default settings.

Thanks for the help -- this is a great program, and one of the few that allows tagging of .dsf files.

I found a 2012 post complaining that Audirvana doesn't import the comments field. I don't know if this is still true.

Sorry, but I have no info on what they expose or how. I do know that iTunes only displays the first comment with a language code of 'eng' (the Yate default) and an empty description field. If you entered the comment on the Info tag, it would have an empty description field. As you're using the default preferences, I'm assuming everything is okay in the file. If you select one of the files in Yate and click on the disclosure triangle to the right of the comments field, you'll see the language and description. It should be 'eng' and <empty>.

Try firing off an email to the Audirvana folks and ask them what they're doing with the comment field, if anything.
