At some point, I entered "Ludwig van Beethoven" as "Ludwhig van Beethoven".

I have found & corrected the album with the spelling error, but now, whenever I start to enter L-U it auto-completes to "Ludwh" & I have to keep typing to get as far as "Ludwi..." for it to auto-complete correctly.

I've restarted the software but it's still doing it.

Not a major thing at all, of course, just slightly irritating. Was wondering if the magical land of Yate had a room where I could perhaps amend a list of existing terms, or something similar.

I'm about to start tagging a 107 disc set with a lot of Ludwig in it & it would save quite a bit of fiddle.

There are two ways to fix something like this.

1. start typing the incorrect name and let the autocomplete finish. When the entire incorrect name is displayed, hit the function button at the left of the field and select Remove from List. Clear the field and start again.

2. Go to Preferences - Lists. Select the appropriate list from the control at the top left of the panel. (Composer? Artist?). Once the list is displayed, simply delete the invalid item.

Excellent, thanks. I knew it would be easy.

I've been able to have a good old tidy up of that list.

There were many examples (where I've obviously started typing unfamiliar names) where I'd typed a bit, then gone back to check spelling for the next bit & it's saved each increment. Is there something I'm habitually doing that would make it save it each time or does it just assume that switching to another app means I'm done?

Whenever the field loses the focus it assumes you're done. You can disable the auto save if you wish and tell it save manually.

Excellent. I've adjusted a few of those auto-completes & saves. Let's see which provides me with the preferable user experience. Thanks.

Ah, okay. So the inevitable question (because I think I was expecting a pop-up box of some kind) is how do I save them manually?

Blimey, is that what that is?? I figured that was just a coloured dot to show me what fields had changed. I don't think I'll ever stop learning with this fantastic app. Thanks.
