Normal topicPretending Track Number to title

I have a silly problem with my new Toyota infotainment that does not read the track number from tracks by instead plays albums in alphabetical order. I spent a lot of time googling forums and apparently this is how the program works and the only solution is to put the track number in the title to have them ordered properly. Very annoying but I knew I could just copy all the files to the usb and have Yate knock it out.

The problem is that I can’t figure out how to pad the track number in an action. I’ve done it in file renaming but there is no Track Pad2 variable like in the file renaming.

First off, Is there a simpler way to just copy a pad track number into the title of a track?

If prepending it is the preferred way how should I get the track num padded?

Thanks
Mike

I've uploaded an action to:

https://2manyrobots.com/actions/mfalcon-snippet.zip

It is documented and illustrates how to get padded numbers in an action. The snippet renames files to:

{track number padded to 2 spaces} {space} Title

An action and rename template will be imported when you import the action.

@2MR2

This looks like a Rename File Action, right? It does what I want except I want instead of changing the name I want it to change the title field. The stupid infotainment system takes the metadata and reads it and then alphabetizes the titles not the file names. It’s super silly so what I want is to change
Track title
Day in the Life
Into
08 Day in the life

File name is already
08 - Day in the life

This is exactly it. It’s a strange use but that’s what Yate does best is fit so many use cases
