I have an action called "Move audio files up one folder & delete empty folder" which does exactly what it says on the tin.

Could it be modified to move all the files in a folder up one folder & delete empty folder?

I'm getting a lot of stuff sent to me where every folder has a completely unnecessary sub-folder with everything in it. Audio, PDFs, image files etc. & it would be nice to dispose of the sub-folders completely as a first step in one move.

Yep this can be done in a single statement. However, I've a lot of actions archived (somewhere) for you and I can't find this one.

Open the Action Manager (Actions menu).

Select the Move audio files up one folder & delete empty folder action and from the context menu (right click) select Export.

On the displayed panel simply hit Export.

On the standard save-as panel, save the file somewhere. Please make sure Export as zip file is checked.

That really was a one liner. Now it's a two liner. 🙂

The action is called: Move Audio (and Non Audio) Files Up One Folder & Delete Empty Folder

It will move all contained non audio files and contained folders with the audio files. Note it will not overwrite existing files and a contained folder which itself contains other audio files will not be moved.
