Hi

i recently reinstalled mac os and also yate while making sure to backup and then restore my settings

everything works as before apart from the fact that for whatever reason the `Add to Apple App` step never actually moves the file to the apple music library like it did before , that is to

~/Music/Music/Media/Music/<Album Artist>/<Album>/## <Song>.<Ext>.

what am i missing here? i cant wrap my head around this 😀

Yate never automatically moved songs into the Music maintained folder. This is and was caused by settings in Music.

Music>Settings>Files>Keep Music Media folder organized and Copy files to Music Media folder when adding to library

Note that if these Music settings are enabled you are making a copy of the file you're adding ... it's not moving. Music will rename and move around the files wherever and whenever it wants. If you later link the original file it will change the Music library to point back to the original.

We always strongly recommend that these Music settings are disabled, however, each to his own.
