Normal topicQuestion and request

First a question: right now when loading folders into the edit window, the default sorting is by album name. I have not found an option to make default sorting by file path. Is it possible to make it somehow?

And a request: now two options are used for replaygain calculation: by album name and by selected files. Will it be possible in future releases to provide a calculation by disc number? It would be very convenient to operate with box-sets. Now I have to manually select files (a lot of work for classical box-sets with more than 10 discs).

Thanks

You can create your own main window sort by right clicking on any column header and selecting Sort>Create Named Sort. Which column you click on is irrelevant. See the screenshot.

Once you’ve created the named sort, it will appear on the menu. There is not currently any way to change the default sort. I’ll have a look at what it entails. If it’s easy, I’ll put it in v8.0.2 coming out in early April.

As far as ReplayGain goes this can be done via an action. It would assume that it would have to be disc within album as it is possible to have multiple albums loaded at a time. I’ll send you an action later today.

Download the action at: https://2manyrobots.com/actions/ReplayGain-by-Disc.zip

The action's name is ReplayGain by Disc. It will work on all selected files. Files will be grouped by Disc number within Album.

Thanks a lot! It works.
Am I correct, to add simultaneous iTunes sound check calculation, I need to add sound check action with an offset of -2?

Yes. Just add a SoundCheck statement after line 19. Specify -2 for LUFS and select based on Album or Track.
