I have a question: is there a way I can search for album artwork, similar to how I would use in Mp3tag? I'm looking for a tool or method that allows me to efficiently find and download art covers for my music collection.

On selected files do an Artwork>Search for Artwork>Auto Search. You might want to check the settings first in Settings-Artwork-Configure Auto Search

In an action there is an Auto Search for Artwork statement.

You can also include Fanart, Discogs and the Cover Art Archive when searching. All of these items are on the Artwork menu.

I have thoroughly reviewed all the settings and even performed the auto-search action, but unfortunately, I’m still encountering issues. I’ve included screenshots below to illustrate the problem, as I’m unsure what I might be doing wrong. Is there a specific method or feature that allows me to search for an artist along with the song title? Any guidance would be appreciated!

The error message you're getting implies that no Discogs information is available. All Discogs searches require Discogs IDs and Cover Art Archive searches requires MusicBrainz IDs.

If you want to auto search for missing Ids, enable Auto fetch missing ids in your first image. Other than that, your settings are fine.

You can try a simple Artwork>Search for Artwork>Auto Search. This will not include Discogs or MusicBrainz or Fanart in the search and may give you the results you want.

Thank you for your quick response and help, but I have tried everything, and it’s still not working.

I've just tried it here with a variety of settings and it is working for me. Let's try and figure out what is going on.

If you do not have the Dump Metadata action installed do the following:

- Yate>Resource Actions Installer
- search for Dump Metadata
- check the located action
- click on Install Checked Actions

Load up an album that you are using and select all its files. Run the Dump Metadata action. The action will produce a zip file.

Do a Yate>Export Settings. Click on All to ensure all settings are enabled and check Export as zip file

Email both produced zip files to support@2manyrobots.com and I'll be able to test your setup with the metadata (no audio) in your files.

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for all the assistance you’ve provided. After going through the process of uninstalling and then reinstalling the software, I’m thrilled to share that it’s now operating flawlessly!

As I explore its features, I’m curious if there’s an option that allows me to search for songs by both title and artist. Having the ability to do so would truly elevate my overall experience with the software. Additionally, along with my collection of CDs, I also have numerous CD singles that I'd love to enjoy.

Thank you once again for your support!

Hmm, I'm not sure what installing and uninstalling would as all the settings are retained. Regardless, I'm glad it now works.

As far as I know there is no API resource available to search for a song by title (with or without artist). ... other than doing a Google search.

That being said, I wrote an action a while ago which attempts to match a track by AcoustId (fingerprinting) and then looking for the earliest release of the track and saving it's artwork. It probably needs some polishing but you can try it now.

Download https://2manyrobots.com/actions/Find-Artwork-for-Individual-Tracks-by-Fingerprinting.zip

Drag the file to Yate's file list area.

Select a bunch of files and run Find Artwork for Individual Tracks by Fingerprinting

It operates on all selected tracks one at a time. It does not remove existing artwork.

Give it a try.
