I think this is more of a Music library issue but I'll try explain it and see if there's possible solution.

I use a Python script to replace music files with a higher Bitrate version. This preserves the play-count and playlists that I have, sometimes going back years.

Everything works great until the old track is originally VBR (variable bitrate).

I refreshed these tracks in Yate (with files linked to the Music app). The bitrate updates but the files still show as VBR. However, they are not VBR. If I remove the track and re-add to the library, it will show without the VBR tag.

Do you know of a way that Yate could reset this? I'd be comfortable doing this with an AppleScript if it's not supported.
