Hello,
is there a possibility to populate the value of the Genre Field by mapping to the Album Artist. I have a csv file where for every Album Artist the Genre is defined. Now I want to apply the Genre to every album of this Album Artist.

Hmm... not automatically but it would be possible to read the CSV file and use one of the application retained lists to save the Album Artist followed by the associated genre.

It's then a simple action to apply the associated genre to all selected files. This would work in immediate mode and in the batch processor.

I could write it for you if you wish. If you want me to write it, send the CSV to support@2manyrobots.com and let me know which application list you'd like me to use. (More than likely one of Custom 1 ... Custom 10). The list can be renamed.

Thanks for the quick answer. Maybe the import via CSV is a little bit too risky. I am now trying to find a different solution inside Yate. The Database looks promising. Is there any way to filter many artists by one formula e.g. Artist contains "Rolling Stones" or "Alter Bridge" or... ?

Not risky and I don't even need the CSV. However whatever you want.

In the UI you can filter anything via ⌘F. Do a Help>Search Yate Help and search for Main Window Filters. Alternately do a ⌘F and click on the Help button.
