Hello,

It would be great to have an action that search the artwork in the album folder.
Woth the choice of the name of the sub-folder if it exists, the name of the artwork and the resolution.
[subfolder-name]/[artwork-name]

Example with a batch on a boxset of 10 album with an artwork called cover-01.jpg in the subfolder "scans" :
[scans]/[cover-01.jpg]

Okay, I'm assuming that you are scanning artwork 🙂

I guess you need a more powerful action function than 'Import All Artwork in Folder' where it is assumed that the artwork is in the same folder as the track.

I guess you'd also have to be able to supply a 'Picture Type'?

I'll add it to the list.

Oh i didn't see this function !

New idea, the very best should be a scan of each folders + sub-folder(s) that matches with the choosen name of the artwork. With that, it will not be necessary to add manually the name of the subfolder in case of the artwork is not in the root folder.

Ok for the Picture type !

Done in v2.6.1. I've implemented it by expanding the 'Import Artwork from Folder' function .... now called 'Import Artwork'. It will import all artwork from any folder; import a specific file from any folder or subfolder; specify picture type and description.

I have just tested the new version. This is a almost perfect !

There is maybe one thing about the resolution. Can you add an option to resize when import by adding an import resolution field for example ?

Hmm...I thought it was a good idea to allow ignoring the resizing. You can always follow the 'Import Artwork' with a 'Scale Artwork / Change Type' function. Will that work?

This is a great feature, to be sure. If I were to suggest anything, it would be to import the artwork and then delete the master file after Save (to make sure the imported artwork is correct). I don't like extra junk in my mp3 folders, so this would be a nice add.

Adding a 'delete after import' option is easy. The main issue as proposed is that the Import and (possible) subsequent Save function are two different functions. I'd have to keep track of all files imported and also possible a Revert and even manually deselecting some of the imported artwork.

So.... I can add a Delete option if desired but it would more than likely have to be performed by the Import Artwork function immediately after a successful import.

Thoughts?
