Hi. New to Yate. I'm trying to figure out how to copy the folder name to the album name. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi, The simplest way without using actions is to go to Preferences-File to Tag. Build a new template with two tokens:
<Folder Start><Album>

Then load and select the tracks for which you want to set the Album field from the folder name. From the Edit menu select File to Tag and the template you just created. That should do it.

Ah, figured it out. I didn't realize you had to build an action for everything. It is a very useful program that way. Thanks.

If you wish we can remove your profile by removing you as a registered user . I'm assuming that you're not merely testing this out. If you'd like to be removed, please respond to this post with remove and I'll see that you're wiped.

Yeah you can remove me. It's actually a great program I just don't have the money for it now. I'll probably get it in the future at some point, it's good to know that it exists.

I wish I had caught this earlier. I would have gladly paid his $20 if he agreed to try out the software for a while longer, as well as tell 10 friends about it. In fact, that offer stands for the next five people who want to take me up on it.

Thanks for the post. Yate is something we do because we enjoy working on it and communicating with our users. The $20 purchase price is mainly to cover ongoing costs. We felt for the previous poster and comped him a copy........which has never been activated.
