Normal topicAdd "minus" option to Playlist mode?

Would it be possible to implement the "minus" feature (new additions replace old ones when added to Yate's main window) while in Playlist mode? I've got multiple copies of many songs (which is not a problem), but sometimes they're named slightly differently (Shake, Rattle and Roll vs Shake, Rattle & Roll). It would be handy when dragging groups of files into Yate from iTunes for renaming. I can always use the Close Visible Files command, but the "minus" feature would be one less step in the process.

Many thanks! Tom

PS: I used to be able to do this simple task from within iTunes, but v12 has eliminated batch-renaming track titles making Yate more indispensable than ever.

Yah iTune v12 also got rid of showing you where the file is located when you do a GetInfo!

I'll have to mull over implementing the "minus" option while in Playlist mode. It's kind of a fundamental change. For now you could always use shortcuts to assign a key sequence to the "Close All Visible Files" item which would make it faster than accessing through the menu.

I do use the default command-option-C to Close All Visible Files, but having new files replace the old ones automatically would be convenient. BTW, I'm able to see the file path in iTunes 12 by clicking the "File" tab in the Get Info window.

Thanks for the tip. I looked at the File tab but it was not obvious that the display was scrollable. 🙂

I'll look at the "minus" ramifications in the code.

From my limited experience, very little is obvious in iTunes 12. It's a major step backwards, and frankly, the GUI is far removed from any previous Apple design that I'm familiar with. Since when are editable fields masked until you mouse over them? Very unintuitive and unApple-like.

On my Mac putting iTunes into Songs view mode and scrolling messes up the list display 100% of the time. I have to click on the display to get rid of the 'dirt' 🙁

I've added the minus option in v3.2 coming soon. You have to enable it via a preference setting.
