Just for the information of people following this thread. I've created a patch which corrects all questionable formatting when saving AIFF files. This has been tested and fixes issues with the two applications reporting various issues. It should be noted that Yate, iTunes, Audirvana all accessed the files correctly.

There is lots of code in Yate to detect incorrect formatting in audio files. Most audio related apps test for these various situations. Unfortunately, not all. Most apps correctly handle the worst offences in mp3 files because they are much more prevalent. Yate has auto corrected ID3 tags since it was first release. The AIFF issues are in the container, not the ID3 tag.
