Normal topicGreek characters

hi, I have a number of files with greek music. Tags are of course in the same language, in UTF-8 encoding. When i try to edit them I get gibberish as output. For example, I drop in Yate the following title: Μάνος Λοΐζος - Αν με τη μεσολάβηση. The result is this: Áí ìå ôç ìåóïëÜâçóç. Have you got some explanation?

Yate works with the internal 16 bit Unicode format of characters that the Mac uses. When Yate reads an audio file it specifies the encoding of the text and passes it off to the system. When Yate writes an audio file it requests the text in the encoding to be saved to the file.

I have just run a test copying in your title from the post and saved it to every file type that Yate handles. It seems to work fine. See the attached image.

Are you noticing the issue when you save the files or when you enter the text? Please verify that the text encoding in Preferences-Audio is set to UTF-8 and not ISO-8859-1.
